In a complex market shaped by regulatory and territorial constraints, our lean and flexible approach allows us to turn concepts into tangible, sustainable energy assets, fully integrated into the communities and territories where we operate.

Our work goes beyond development: we oversee every stage of our projects, from construction and commissioning to long-term operations, taking an active role as an IPP (Independent Power Producer).

Our company operates in small to medium-size utility-scale photovoltaic projects, typically ranging between 5 and 30 MW. We primarily develop ground-mounted solar plants designed to integrate smoothly into agricultural or industrial environments, minimising visual and environmental impact, including through the integration of energy storage systems (BESS).

We operate across the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, supporting them from the identification of development opportunities through to construction, commercial operation and ongoing asset management. We develop and deliver ground-mounted photovoltaic solar plants, taking responsibility not only for development activities but also for the direct construction, ownership and operation of the assets once in service.

Our activities extend from the origination phase, including the scouting and securing of suitable land, the assessment of grid connection conditions and preliminary technical and economic analyses. On this basis, we structure each project through detailed plant design and the full management of the permitting process with the relevant authorities, working in close coordination with local administrations, grid operators and all involved stakeholders.

Following the development phase, we lead projects into execution, overseeing the construction of the plants and their commissioning up to commercial operation date (COD). The overall process, from land agreements to the start of energy production, typically spans approximately three to four years, during which we retain responsibility for technical, operational and industrial coordination. Alongside direct development, we engage in co-development partnerships and selectively acquire authorised or near Ready-to-Build projects, integrating them into our portfolio.

In line with our role as a long-term asset owner and energy producer, our involvement continues beyond COD through the operational and commercial management of the plants, with the objective of ensuring efficiency, reliability and sustainable long-term value.

Designed for challenging landscape

The context in which we operate is one of the most complex and challenging in Europe: Italy is a fragmented territory, rich in landscape, agricultural and cultural value, combined with a complex and constantly evolving permitting framework. This makes the development of new photovoltaic projects a delicate balancing act between industrial vision, technical expertise and responsibility towards the places involved.

In this scenario, the energy transition cannot be pursued through standardized models or purely quantitative approaches. Instead, it requires a tailor-made approach, capable of reading the territory, interpreting regulatory constraints, engaging with public authorities and integrating projects into the existing context, minimizing impact while maximizing the value created, in full respect of landscape, environmental and planning constraints.

Cultivating energy. Powering the land

Agrivoltaics represents a new synthesis between agricultural production and renewable energy, overcoming the traditional opposition between land use and ground-mounted photovoltaic systems.

Through advanced design solutions, photovoltaic plants can be integrated into agricultural land while preserving and revitalising farming and livestock activities. The modules are installed in a way that allows large areas to remain effectively dedicated to agriculture, enabling a functional coexistence between clean energy generation and agricultural work.

Beyond producing electricity from solar power, agrivoltaics enables the recovery of currently underutilised or abandoned land, creating new income opportunities and, at the same time, contributing to climate change adaptation and biodiversity protection by strengthening local ecosystems. This approach enhances the value of our territories, safeguarding their agricultural vocation and projecting them towards a more sustainable, long-term future.

Battery Energy Storage System

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are a key element in the evolution of photovoltaic projects and modern power grids. They allow energy generated from renewable sources, such as solar power, to be stored and made available at a different time from when it is produced, overcoming the intermittency of renewable generation. Stored energy can be released to the grid when demand is higher or when it is more efficient and strategic to do so.

When combined with photovoltaic plants, BESS enhance the overall value of projects by improving power system stability and supporting the balance between electricity supply and demand. Sunstripes integrates battery storage solutions alongside its solar plants, designing tailor-made configurations that respond to the specific needs of the territory, the grid and the energy market, making a concrete contribution to the energy transition.
